ALAN OLDHAM is a highly respected Third Wave Detroit Techno producer, international DJ, remixer, comic artist, and painter. He had the first radio show in Detroit that played only electronic music and Techno. He has created iconic artwork for legendary labels such as Transmat, and Djax-Up Beats, and has released music on Tresor Berlin, BPitch Control, Third Ear, and Suspected among others. He has recently done remixes for Ellen Allien and Loco Dice. His art is now on display at the Design Museum, London as part of the exhibit “Electronic: From Kraftwerk to the Chemical Brothers.” 
Alan lives and works in Berlin.

This live online course focusses on underground dance music creation utilising Native Instruments Maschine software and hardware. Starting from the ground up, Alan will take you into his world of production, showing you his process of starting, developing, and finishing tracks using NI Maschine MK3. You will uncover Alan's techniques, tricks, and philosophies, as he guides you through his process. You will examine a range of underground electronic music styles, such as Techno, House, and Electro, and use Maschine as a tool to create beats, bass-lines, melodies, and arrangements.  

You will not only learn skills and techniques from Alan using NI Machine, but you will be mentored through the process of creating and finishing your own track, with regular feedback on your progress, peer review, playback, and homework tasks, culminating in the playback of your finished track in the final session.
